Offered here is an actual contestant’s badge from Francis Ouimet’s 1931 U.S. Amateur victory at Beverly Country Club in Chicago. The ’31 U.S. Amateur was Ouimet’s 3rd Major win, coming an amazing 17 years after his first Amateur victory in 1914 and 18 years after his legendary 1913 US Open win that changed golf forever.

Only 139 players competed and, therefore, received these contestant badges in this 1931 Amateur, so the total number that still exist is almost certainly only a handful. Quite amazingly, the offered badge still contains its original celluloid tag, which tells us that it was issued to player #32 at the 1931 US Amateur.
