Offered here is a scarce original program from the legendary 1941 "Ryder Cup". After Europe got caught up in World War II, the British Team was unable to travel to attend the 1941 Ryder Cup. The tournament would go forward, however, with the great Bobby Jones enlisted to Captain a group of "Challengers" to take on the American Ryder Cup Team. For Bobby Jones fans, this tournament is has an almost mythical status, because Bobby Jones was back! That's right, Bobby Jones actually participated in this 1941 "Ryder Cup," and even defeated Henry Picard in his single match.

It should be noted that while we don't currently count this as an official Ryder Cup Match, in 1941 the teams played for the actual Ryder Cup trophy. The American Ryder Cup team was led by Walter Hagen, and included Horton Smith, Henry Picard, Byron Nelson, Sam Snead, Vic Ghezzi, Ralph Guldahl, and Paul Runyan. The Bobby Jones Challenge Team included playing Captain Bobby Jones, Jimmy Demaret, Ben Hogan, Craig Wood, and Lawson Little. So what happened during the tournament? The Bobby Jones Challengers shocked the American Ryder Cup Team 8 1/2 to 6 1/2.

Offered here is a scarce original program from the 1941 Ryder Cup that has been autographed by both Captains and both teams. This program contains autographs of not only Bobby Jones and Walter Hagen, but also Craig Wood, Horton Smith, Ralph Guldahl, Jimmy Demaret, Ben Hogan, Lawson Little, Henry Picard, Paul Runyan, Sam Snead, Vic Ghezzi, Byron Nelson, and more.

This original program is framed (autograph page showing) with color copies of the cover and 2 team pages to make a visually stunning presentation piece. Framed to an overall size of 25" x 31".
