To celebrate the Ryder Cup coming to Chicago, the City of Chicago put together an art exhibit which displayed dozens of large golf balls up and down Chicago's famed Magnificent Mile and elsewhere. Approximately 80 of these large 3 foot wide golf balls were designed and painted by local artists, and then sold to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities. We previously sold the Leroy Neiman golf ball for over $26,000

Offered here is perhaps the most impressive of those large golf ball art pieces, titled "European Stars Over Chicago." This golf ball is painted by European Team member (and accomplished artist) Luke Donald. Luke Donald rose to be ranked #1 in the world in 2012, the same year this ball was painted. Luke painted a Chicago skyline in EU yellow and blue, and each member of the victorious International 2012 Ryder Cup Team has added a large autograph.

The 2012 Ryder Cup is, for European fans, among the most important Ryder Cup tournaments on history. Facing almost certain defeat on Saturday, Luke Donald and the Euros came charging back for what became known as the "Miracle at Medinah."

Total piece is over 5 feet tall, and 3 feet wide. Weighs 225 pounds.

Shipping: The ball is located in Arizona. Expect shipping in the Continental United States to run from $400 to $800. International Shipping may be much higher, but we are willing to assist.
