Scarce panoramic photograph from the 1919 US Amateur at Oakmont Country Club showing the final between Bobby Jones and S. Davidson Herron. Bobby Jones was only 17 years old at the 1919 US Amateur, but the Dixie Whiz Kid made the final against Oakmont member Herron. Herron would go on to defeat Bobby Jones 5 & 4. Bobby Jones would have to wait four years til he would win a Major Championship of his own. Very few photographs from the 1919 US Amateur at Oakmont are known to exist. This photo depicts Bobby Jones and Herron on Oakmont's 9th green with the crowd looking on. 

Few cameras were able to produce panoramic photographs in 1919, so this large 16 1/2" wide panoramic was produced by taping together two photographs.16 1/2" x 5 3/4".
