In the 100th Anniversary year of the Open Championship, 1960, the town of St Andrews bestowed an incredible honor on the great Walter Hagen. Walter Hagen received something every golfer on the planet would covet - the privilege of playing the Old Course at St Andrews, for free, at any time.

This is the actual proclamation that was presented to Walter Hagen himself by the town of St. Andrews giving The Haig privileges at the Old Course. Everything about this proclamation is exceptional. It was obtained from Walter Hagen's estate. It is framed without glass to an overall size of 12" x 19".
