This stunning celtic cross medal was issued to the runner-up in the inaugural Irish Amateur in 1892 at Portrush - J.H. Andrew, Esq. Portrush would receive its "Royal" designation 3 years later in 1895. The reverse of this medal is intricately and ornately engraved. Comes in its original case from Gibson & Co., Ltd. in Belfast. Fairly large medal that is over 2" x 2".
