This is the first time we've seen this rare "Bobby" Jones Spalding iron. Immediately after Jones retired from golf, he signed a deal with Spalding to produce clubs using Jones' name. But those clubs were all steel shafted with the exception of some rare special order hickory shafted clubs. More importantly, those clubs were stamped with his full-name "Robert T. Jones, Jr."
This club, on the other hand, is stamped "Bobby Jones." The club is stamped with a patent date of 1927. We don't believe this club could've been produced before Jones retired since he couldn't risk his amateur status, though it's quite intriguing to us. Very good condition. 36".
