This Sterling Silver Quaich was issued by the USGA as the inaugural release in the USGA Hallmark Sterling Silver Collection. This piece celebrates on of the oldest trophies in the USGA Museum collection - a small quaich presented to John Paxton of the Edinburgh Burgess Golfing Society in 1841. A quaich is a special Scottish two handled drinking cup. They were popularly used as trophies by golf societies in the 18th and 19th centuries.
