Lot Description  

Original letter from Augusta National Golf Club Chairman Clifford Roberts to celebrated journalist John Derr. Derr famously began covering the Masters Tournament in 1935, and reported from 62 tournaments before his death. This 1960 letter discusses the Masters Tournament, and American Express' interest in sponsoring radio coverage of The Masters Tournament.
