Lot Description  

This is the actual "Playing Captain" bullion badge that was issued to, and owned by, Sir Henry Cotton for the 1939 Ryder Cup. The 1939 Ryder Cup was to be held in Ponte Vedra, FL, and the teams had been selected, but the tournament was canceled due to the outbreak of World War II.
