Lot Description  

Extraordinary original 1888 routing plan for St. George's Golf Club. St. George's had just been founded in 1887 and would not receive its "Royal" designation until 1902. This plan was also produced 6 years before St. George's hosted its first Open Championship - the first Open outside of Scotland. This 9" x 11" routing plan is matted and framed to an overall size of 12 3/4" x 14 3/4".
