The Ryder Cup

Old Tom Morris is one of the most iconic figures in golf history. No golf collection can be considered serious or complete without Morris' name attached to several key pieces. Since golf collecting started approximately a century ago, perhaps the most consistently sought-after piece of memorabilia over that time is a golf club made by Old Tom Morris.

The offered club is a high grade example of an Old Tom Morris play club (driver). This 43" Old Tom Morris play club dates to approximately 1865 to 1870 and comes from the personal collection of legendary collector Jeff Ellis. The club is in excellent condition with partial original grip with under-listing and its original whipping intact. The original file lines on the face (made by turning a file on edge and dragging it across the face) are still distinct and visible, showing little wear. The club contains its original horn attached with no cracks.
