In 1981, Donruss released the first golf card set in decades. Therefore, this 65 card set consisted of almost all rookie cards, and featured such stars as Jack Nicklaus (2 cards), Tom Watson (2 cards), Lee Trevino (2 cards), Ben Crenshaw, and many more.
This is a rare complete autographed set; yes, all 65 player cards are autographed. It's important to note just how hard it is to complete this autographed set. In addition to the famous names like Nicklaus and Watson, there are obscure names who have not been around golf in decades. And then there is one card that remains elusive to almost all collectors - card #51 Jack Newton. Newton had a near fatal accident shortly after this set was released, and lost his right arm and eye. His golfing career over, and he has never been around the PGA Tour or lived in the United States again.
