This is a letter from Jack Nicklaus on his own personal letterhead to PGA of America Vice President Jimmy Ray Carpenter. The letter is dated January 7, 1986 - the day of the Monday Practice Round of the 1986 Masters Tournament. In the letter, Nicklaus states to Carpenter that "By the time this reaches you, I know I'll have seen you in Augusta." Just a few days later, the golf world would witness perhaps Jack Nicklaus' most famous performance at the '86 Masters. Double matted and wood framed.
