1913 gold medal for the Coronation Challenge Cup at Braid Hills. The medal is engraved with tournament winner - A.A. (Sandy) Armour. Sandy Armour was the older brother to the great Tommy Armour. Both Armour brothers were members of the golf society Edinburgh Western Golf Club in 1913, which played its golf at Braid Hills.
1 1/4" x 1" gold.
Our consignor's mother was a student of Sandy and Tommy Armour, and was given this medal by one of them several decades ago.
