In 1978, the Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf was held for the first time - invited older and former members of the PGA Tour. The tournament's extreme success in 1978 and 1979 led to the formation of the Senior PGATour (now called the Champions Tour).

Offered here is Roberto De Vicenzo's actual winner's trophy plaque from his victory with partner Julius Boros in the 1979 Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf. Measures 9 1/2" x 12", wooden frame with metal bas relief trophy and plate. Still has Roberto's personal inventory sticker attached. Comes in its original box.
