Offered here is a book that is widely regarded as one of the first comprehensive books on golf course architecture, a 1926 First Edition of "The Links" by Robert Hunter. The author was best known as an American sociologist, progressive author, and golf course architect, but also played a decent game of golf in his time, winning events like the 1922 Gold Vase Tournament at Pebble Beach Golf Links. The book is in good condition and a previous owner wrote their name on the title page. It is valued at $1,150 by Gilchrist’s Guide to Golf Collectibles (2004).
