Presented here is an original program from one of the greatest Major Championships of all time - the 1962 US Open. The 1962 Open was held at legendary Oakmont, and was when the world was put on notice about a young kid from Ohio - Jack Nicklaus. Arnold Palmer was the fan favorite, and the gallery was clearly rooting for Arnie over the young Jack Nicklaus, who hadn't yet won any professional tournament let alone a Major Championship. Nicklaus and Palmer finished 72 holes tied at 283, and squared off in a Monday playoff for the US Open title. Jack Nicklaus defeated Arnold Palmer on that famous Monday and never looked back - winning a record 17 more Major Championships after this one. The program is in Fair condition.
