First used in 1899 and through about 1905, and made by the Spalding Co., the Vardon Flyer golf ball boasted increased distance over the line cut gutty. Harry Vardon famously used this ball throughout his American Tour in 1900, including the 1900 US Open. Although only lasting a few years, the Vardon Flyer is a milestone golf ball that is a required piece for any serious golf collection.
