This is an original 1920s bronze statue of Clenna Collett by celebrated sculpture artist E.E. Codman. E.E. Codman (1876-1955) produced nearly all of his work between 1906 and 1931. In 1931, he inherited a vast fortune, moved away from the foundry he used, and never worked another day in his life.
This statue of Glenna Collett was produced by Codman during Collett's Hall of Fame career (and before she married Edwin Vare). The only other bronze pieces by Codman that we've found were much smaller, later pieces that sold for $5,122 (Bobby Jones) and $3,884 (Clenna Collett).
This statue stands 15" tall and weighs almost 8 pounds. It was created by the Gorham Foundry in the 1920s. Bold signature by Codman and stamping from Gorham.
