The 1999 Ryder Cup is, for Americans, one of the most famous golf tournaments in history. The 1999 Ryder Cup was also one of the last public appearances for Payne Stewart, who died just 29 days later. Offered here is surely one of the only complete US Team-signed flags from the 1999 Ryder Cup that exists. The signatures on this flag were actually obtained prior to the 1999 Ryder Cup, as this flag was a raffle price at Tiger Jam II on August 7, 1999. Tiger Jam was held at the Rio Hotel in Las Vegas, hosted by Tiger Woods, and benefiting the Tiger Woods Foundation. 

This is the 2nd 1999 Ryder Cup signed flag that we've seen from the '99 Tiger Jam. Though we don't know exactly why these flags were autographed in advance of the 1999 Ryder Cup for Tiger, Payne Stewart's passing in October 1999 ensured that these flags would be coveted for years to come. 

The signatures on this flag are excellent, and appear to have possibly been signed in the same pen. Unfortunately 3 of the signatures (Payne Stewart, Justin Leonard, and David Duval) have bled from getting wet. To our knowledge, no attempt has been made to cure this bleeding. 

It is nearly impossible to find a US Team signed 1999 Ryder Cup flag that includes Payne Stewart. The offered flag is one of the only authentic examples that you will ever encounter.
