Offered here is Arthur Havers' 2nd place medal from the 1927 Surrey County Championship. Long a hotbed for golf talent, the Surrey County Golf Union was formed in the 1920s with 2x Amateur Champ Ernest Holderness as Secretary and Treasurer, and Bernard Darwin as vice president. The resulting tournaments featured some of the best fields in golf. This medal was awarded to 1923 Open Champion Arthur Havers for his 2nd place finish in 1927. This medal is engraved on the reverse with Havers' name, score, and the course where the tournament was held - Worplesdon Golf Club.
