This is a an original 1901 cigarette card of Old Tom Morris. The Ogden's Guinea Gold Cigarettes cards are among the earliest golf card sets ever produced, and offered here is the coveted Old Tom Morris card from that set. A rare golf card that was produced during Tom Morris' life. As early cigarette cards from other sports have skyrocketed in value, golf cards have been left behind - selling for a tiny fraction of their counterparts. Case in point, this 1901 Tom Morris card pre-dates baseball's famed Honus Wagner card, and there are almost certain less Tom Morris cards in circulation than the 50+ known Wagners. Yet the Wagner card currently sells for millions of dollars.
