Offered here is Leslie Balfour-Melville's actual semi-finalist medal from the 1892 British Amateur - a tournament he would eventually win in 1895. Leslie Balfour-Melville was one of the greatest Scottish athletes of all-time. He won competitions in not only golf, but was Captain of the Scottish National cricket team and was an international union rugby player. He also competed at a high level in tennis, ice skating, curling, long jumping, and billiards.
