Offered here is a late 1890s Forrester "Slip Neck" fork spliced driver. Visible slip neck fork splice running about halfway down the front of neck, and all the way down the back of neck. According to Jeff Ellis, "this is the only known example of its kind." Excellent condition. 

This club originates from the famed Jeff Ellis Collection, and this exact club was featured in his book The Clubmaker's Art (TCA 2, p. 160). This club has not reached the collector market since its sale at the 2007 Sotheby's auction of the Jeff Ellis Collection.
