Offered here is a circa 1914 Cawsey design-registered "Spli-Sok" splice socket head brassie. This unusual golden bulger head wood combines a socket neck with a fork splice to enhance durability. According to Jeff Ellis, "only three spli-sok clubs are known to exist." Excellent condition. 

This club originates from the famed Jeff Ellis Collection, and this exact club was featured in his books The Clubmaker's Art (TCA 1, p. 143; TCA 2, p. 318). This club has not reached the collector market since its sale at the 2007 Sotheby's auction of the Jeff Ellis Collection.
