Offered here is a rare set of Prototype Wilson FG58 tour grind irons. Reportedly only 25 sets were produced Those sets were sent to either tour pros or club testers, so a substantial majority of those clubs were likely put into play, which was the intention. The "58" in the name corresponds to the number of Major Championships won by golfers using Wilson irons. These prototypes produced in mid 2008 for an iron set to be released to the public a few months later bearing the same name. But before the production models could be released, Padraig Harrington won the 2008 PGA Championship, necessitating the eventual switch to the Wilson FG59 irons. These rare Prototype Wilson FG58 irons are new and unused. Includes 3 iron through pitching wedge.
