PING famously creates a gold plated putter for each golfer that uses a PING putter to win an important golf tournament. These putters are coveted by collectors, but few have reached the collector market except from lesser known golfers.

Two copies of each PING gold putter is made - one putter is made for the golfer - and the other is sent to the legendary PING gold putter vault. 

Offered here is Fred Funk's actual gold putter from his victory at the 1984 PGA Assistant Pro Championship. This victory was a few years before Fred Funk became a mainstay on the PGA Tour, as he did not join the PGA Tour until five years later in 1989. Fred Funk ended up winning an impressive 8 times on the PGA Tour.
