This is Bobby Jones' personal copy of the program for the inaugural World Amateur Golf Team Championship in 1958. This competition took place on the Old Course at St Andrews, and the teams competed for the Eisenhower trophy. The tournament consisted of 29 four-man teams. The Australian team, which featured Bruce Devlin, was victorious over the 2nd place American squad that included Billy Joe Patton and Charles Coe.
We've seen soft cover programs for this event before, but this is a special hardcover example that must've been produced for the great Bobby Jones. The cover is embossed with "R.T. Jones Jr." in gold lettering on the bottom right of the cover.
