If we asked you to name the caddies that Tiger has used in his career, we bet many of you could name almost all of them - Fluff, Steve Williams, Joe LaCava, and Tiger's longtime friend Bryon Bell. But did you know that there's one more?
That's right, our consignor Tim Boardman caddied for Tiger Woods for exactly one round - at the 1997 Buick Classic at Westchester Country Club. Tiger's caddie Fluff had to fly home for a funeral, so he arranged his longtime friend Tim to take Tiger's bag for the Friday 2nd round of the Buick Classic. The following day Fluff was back on the bag, and Tim Boardman became a brief footnote in Tiger's remarkable career.
In this lot, we have Boardman's Caddie Badge from that historic round, which Tiger autographed after that round. Tim was also able to keep one of Tiger's golf balls - a genuine tournament-used golf ball from Tiger's first full year on tour in 1997.
