This is a PSA Type 1 photograph of Phil Mickelson from 1992. 1992 was a huge year for Mickelson, as he wrapped up his storied amateur career with a 3rd consecutive individual NCAA Championship, declared professional (skipping Q school because of his 1991 Tucson PGA victory as an amateur), met his future wife Amy, and hired Bones Mackay. One interesting thing to note is that this photo is dated January 8, 1992, which dates it to just over 3 weeks before Mickelson first met his future wife Amy on January 31st of that year.
