This is a rare original ticket from the final round of the 1937 Augusta National Invitation Tournament, which would a year later officially change its name the The Masters Tournament.

The 1937 Augusta National Invitation Tournament was the 4th-ever Masters Tournament. They say that the Masters is decided on the back 9 on Sunday, and this was never more true than in 1937. Byron Nelson gained 6 strokes on 3rd round leader Ralph Guldahl during that epic back 9, including recording a 2-3 (birdie-eagle) on the iconic 12th and 13th holes.

Needless to say, a scant few of these paper tickets from the 4th-ever Masters Tournament have survived. The PSA population report includes only 3 such examples.
