Offered here is a rare “Caddie Book” complied and issued by the Kansas City Golf Association in 1923. This 126-page book goes into great detail on all the important rules and guidelines that were taught to caddies back in the day, including the “Complete Caddie System with Caddychism”. On the inside cover, former USGA President Howard F. Whitney lauds the KCGA for their efforts by saying, “…you have issued a booklet which our Executive Committee believes to be the best ever issued along these lines. Golfers of this country owe you a debt of gratitude for the splendid work you have done.” An incredible find filled with photographs of caddies on the course, instructions on how caddies can best serve their players, a simplified overview of the rules, and even a glossary of 400 terms that every caddie should be familiar with. Very good condition.
