Offered here is an original cabinet photograph from the 1904 British Amateur at Royal St George’s. It depicts the great John Ball, Jr. and Horace Hutchinson (both past champions) putting on the 8th green. Prior to World War II, the British Amateur was considered one of golf’s major championships. The 1904 event was particularly notable for American fans as Walter J. Travis became the first American to win the championship. This piece is framed and the dimensions are 16” x 21”.
