Offered here is a truly stunning find. This is an original circa 1926-28 photo print of Alister MacKenzie + Robert Hunter's original plans for Cypress Point Club. This drawing was produced by Albert Barrows (1893-1958) in 1926. It is believed that Barrows would have based this drawing on sketch plans provided by Alister MacKenzie.
Cypress Point's final course routing was changed from this plan, but this is a wonderful time capsule for the course that would become one of the world's greatest - and remains so nearly 100 years later.
Quite significantly, the reverse of this 1920s original photo print is typed by typewriter:
Cypress Point Course.
Original Plan.
MacKenzie & Hunter
Golf Course Architects.
The reverse is also stamped with a very faint circular ink stamp from June 20, 1928 from Gabriel Moulin's studio in San Francisco.
9 1/2" x 7 3/8". Very good condition.
