Offered here is a very rare 1920 first edition of Alister MacKenzie's Golf Architecture: Economy in Course Construction and Green Keeping. It has been said that this very book led Bobby Jones to choose MacKenzie to design his dream golf course in the early 1930s, Augusta National Golf Club. Bobby Jones was said to completely agree with the quirky MacKenzie's beliefs on golf course architecture after reading this book and after playing Mackenzie's other jewel, Cypress Point.
This book is, without question, one of the most important books to own for any golf book or golf architecture collector. Fair to Good condition with some cover discoloration and marks, and spine wear.
