Jack White, who won the 1904 Open Championship conceived of an iron that still fascinates golfers and collectors to this day - the drilled hole "water iron." Offered here is a circa 1914 Jack White "The Deadun" water iron. This unusual club was produced with 20 drilled holes in the face. An exceptional early 1900s experimental/patent club. A different drilled hole Gibson Jack White Club sold in the 2006 Sotheby's Jeff Ellis sale for $4,375. This Jack White drilled face water iron was made by Gibson's in Scotland and contains Gibson's star trademark.
