Offered here is an original photograph of 1934 and 1936 Masters Tournament winner, Horton Smith, taken by famed photographer George Pietzcker, and signed by Horton Smith. Horton Smith was a dominant force in American golf during the late 1920s and through the early 1940s. He won over 30 professional events including two of the first three Masters Tournaments and represented the United States in 5 consecutive Ryder Cups from 1929 - 1937. This photograph was taken by George Pietzcker, who is widely regarded as the greatest golf photographer in history. The lower right hand corner of this photo is embossed with the George Pietzcker script and his studio's St Louis address, and is signed by Horton Smith in black fountain pen. Nicely framed to an overall 14" x 16" with the interior measuring approx. 4 3/4" x 6 3/4".
