Offered here is Gene Sarazen's personally owned photograph of the playoff in the 1935 Masters Tournament. Gene Sarazen was able to catch clubhouse leader Craig Wood with his now-legendary "shot heard round the world" double eagle on 15. In the 36 hole playoff, Sarazen defeated Craig Wood to become the 2nd ever Masters Tournament Champion.

This is the first time we have offered an original Type 1 photograph from the 1935 Masters Tournament playoff. This photograph was personally owned by Gene Sarazen for his entire life since that 1935 tournament, and is being consigned together by the Gene Sarazen Estate. We recently sent the photograph to PSA, which confirmed it as a genuine Type 1 original.

6 1/2" x 8 1/2". PSA Type 1.

Letter of Authenticity from Mary Ann Sarazen [Gene Sarazen Estate]
