Offered here is arguably, other than a "Tiger backup," the most coveted of Scotty Cameron putters: The legendary Classic I "Mini."

The Classic 1 Mini has a legendary story attached to it. Only five putters were made by Scotty and, as legend has it, one was placed under his wife's pillow when she was pregnant with their first child. This putter has a great story, one only that Vog can tell. "This originally was part of the David Levine collection. I believe he acquired it in 1995 or 1996 while he was starting to build his collection of Cameron putters. It was, because of the great "pillow story," one of the putters we featured in our book on Scotty (The Art of Putters: The Scotty Cameron Story by Bill Vogeney & David Levine). It was eventually acquired by the late Rand Pallis when he acquired the Levine collection in 2004. Several years later, Rand received an offer that he couldn't refuse, and sold this Mini to a collector in the Southwest. At the time, it was publicized that the putter sold for the highest amount ever for a Cameron putter - even more than a Tiger backup! I believe the putter passed through two different collections privately before being offered now. By the way, the last time I checked only 4 of these Mini Classic I's are accounted for. If there is a fifth, it's likely locked away in a very private collection."

Condition is 9.5/10 in near mint condition.

*Note: The last 2 photos are comparison photos showing this putter's diminutive size compared to a traditional Classic 1 putter. That comparison putter is not included in this auction lot.
