Offered here is one of 250 (handstamped #239), 1993 Master's Choice Classic I putters in stainless steel. Of all of Scotty's putters prior to Titleist, this may be one of the most desirable and hard to find models.

From Vog: This appears to be an absolutely all original example that has not been refinished, reshafted or regripped. Because of the stainless steel construction and "finish" (polished on the face and sole and metal finish on the top) these are very condition-sensitive and very difficult to find in this condition. The original milling is very distinctive and has not been duplicated through Scotty's restoration service.

Because of the Piece of Time logo engraved on the toe, based on past putters sent into the Cameron authentication service, this would get a "C" COA. Yet years ago at one of the early Cameron collector events, Scotty once described a putter as a "C with a story," meaning a putter that had a cool story to go with the "C" COA. This is one of those cool stories. Piece of Time was an early Cameron distributor, prior to Titleist. Their logo has appeared on other putters, bags, covers, and even visors, along side the Cameron logo.

While Scotty has said that Piece of Time had their logo engraved on these putters, in the Cameron World book/magazine insert from Japan, there appears a series of vintage pictures of Scotty at a Japanese tour event. One of the pictures is of many of the putters Scotty distributed to players there, and the Piece of Time logo is on most if not all of the putters there. So did Piece of Time do the logo with Scotty's knowledge or consent? We'll never know but we do know that there was a very good relationship with their owner, Milton Takai.

If you asked me if I would rather have this Master's Choice in near mint condition with the POT logo on it and a C COA, or a refinished one or well-used one with an A COA for my collection, I would choose this putter without a doubt. So many of these have been used or refinished, finding one in this condition is very challenging.

Danny Edwards Scotty Cameron Royal Grip, G. Loomis Shaft, Condition 9.8/10 (Exceptional for this head). 35". Includes the ultra-rare Red Nylon "Milled Putters" cover, one of the original fifty made, not a later NOS replica.
