Made by the Ceramic Arts Company, Lenox Mugs are genuine works of Art. This mug is not only made from thin porcelain, the entire scene on the exterior is hand-painted. No two Lennox mugs are identical, but they are all gorgeous!  This particular example features a lady golfer and her caddie. Lady golfers were not often featured on these mugs.  

The mug is beautiful, with rich colors, and will display with sparkle and charm. It can also serve in practical ways, such as a pencil holder in an office or on a desk. The original gold leaf around the rim is in perfect condition.

The Ceramic Arts Company was founded in Trenton, New Jersey in 1889.  Lenox took control of CAC around 1895 and changed the name to Lenox China Company in 1906.  This example bears the CAC Lenox mark, dating it circa 1900.
