Walter Travis was the most successful amateur golfer in the United States during the early 1900s. Despite only taking up the game at 34 years of age, Travis went on to win three US Amateurs and the British Amateur. 

While the majority of the book is instructional (like most books of this era), it contains two of the earliest chapters on US golf architecture. Hardcover, 221 pages. Very good condition.
