The Golfing Strath Family of St Andrews by David Malcolm & Noel Terry. This is a Limited Edition of only 300 copies, this being #108. The Strath Family (6 brothers, all golfers) were overlooked by the Tom Morris Family in St Andrews. Andrew Strath broke the Morris-Park stranglehold on the Open Championship by taking the 1865 Open Championship title. His brother Davie Strath was thought to be an even better golfer, and was one of Tommy Morris' best friends and frequent playing partner. Davie was runner-up in the Open 3 times before his untimely death at age 30. The Strath Family story is one that every student of golf history should know. Very good condition in slip case. Hardcover, 163 pages, excellent condition.
