This c1840s McEwan long spoon compares well to the Hugh Philp clubs of the 1840s. Its head has an exceptionally graceful shape, a face depth of 1 inch, and the neck and lower end of the shaft are slender - all traits from later in the feather-ball era. The 43" shaft is original with its original leather grip. The club also has its original neck whipping and I still in its original finish. There is a whole lot to like about this club.
