1908 1st Edition copy of The Life of Tom Morris – with Glimpses of St. Andrews and its Golfing Celebrities by W.W. Tulloch. Tulloch was an eyewitness to the enormous changes in golf that took place at St. Andrews from 1850-1900, all of which revolved around the figure of Tom Morris, who was the first true golfing celebrity. The book comes complete with sketches of the famous early professionals, the great matches, and stories of the early days of championship golf.

The book demonstrates the incredible reverence for Old Tom Morris even through a contemporary account, as Old Tom was still living at the time Tulloch’s book was published. This is absolutely a cornerstone book required of any serious golf library. Gilchrist’s Guide to Golf Collectibles lists the value at $1,995.

Book is in good condition. 334 pages.
