Walter Hagen’s 1928 catalog advertises this seven club set of Hagen De Luxe irons as “The Ultra Irons of the Ultra Line.”  The catalog continues:

“These are the irons that helped Walter Hagen make 'the Greatest record in Golf.' The set consists of nine stainless-steel irons, exact reproductions of the models that he uses in all of his play and made in the same workshop and by the same skilled clubmakers who made the set in Walter Hagen's own bag. A set of these in your bag and you have exactly the same advantages of superior equipment as the champion himself has…

“The finely tapered hoscls, the distinctive rounded toe and sole design, the Cadillac dot face scoring, all arc exclusive Hagen features found in no other make of clubs. These irons are shafted with the very finest possible selection of second growth air-seasoned natural finish hickory shafts...."

Golfers could order either a full set of irons or a core set of five irons and add whatever additional clubs they wanted to the core set for $8.50 each.

This seven club set of Walter Hagen Deluxe hickory shafted irons, offered here, consists of a 1,2,4,5,6,7 & 8. The 1 iron measures 38 1/2 inches in length.  Set shows little use. Leather wrap grips are original.  Outstanding set of irons from the World Golf Hall of Fame where this collection was formerly displayed.
