"Unbelievable"

Bill "Vog" Vogeney is our resident Scotty Cameron expert. Little did we know he has been interested in classic clubs for 45 years dating back to his high school days, but when he found these in a huge collection of classic and antique clubs here at our warehouse, we paid attention.

Offered here are a mid-1960's era set of custom MacGregor VIP woods, 1-3-5. From 1959-1967 MacGregor produced a very limited number of custom clubs using the Toney Penna name (their lead club designer at the time) and VIP brand as well. Each set was custom ordered and there are rarely two sets exactly the same with different grinds, shaped, inserts, finishes, etc. These have the coveted SO serial number (for special order) and as a bonus were made for the famed exclusive Burning Tree Club in Washington D.C. According to Vog, before he unearthed these in this very special collection, he only had ever seen one MacGregor club with the Burning Tree logo-and he owns it! According to Vog, these are the only set of custom VIP's from this short era he's seen with a black insert, which only confirms the nature of these true custom clubs.

These are all original-finish, tourney taper number 1 shafts, and grips. Driver is 43.5" In amazing condition!
