Offered here is an early Scotty Cameron Mizuno Tour Prototype with a rare swan neck. Scotty Cameron was affiliated with Mizuno in 1992 and part of 1993, and Mizuno stamped putters made for the tour are very rare.
Our resident Cameron expert, Bill 'Vog" Vogeney was telling us some stories about these early Tour putters. Since unearthing a handful of early Mizuno Tour putters in the mountains of Colorado in 2002, Mizuno tour putters have become a "must buy" for Vog. "They represent some of the earliest Cameron Tour putters in existence. We can look at Scotty's Tour slideshows now and see 30 to 40 putters for the Tour every week. In 1992, he might have made 3-4 new putters for the Tour as samples every week. In fact, for a while he hand stamped a number on them as he wanted to know who got putter #1, 2, etc. I might have seen one or two with a number higher than 3!"
Vog believes this was refinished (very nicely) and and restamped on the face some time ago as this came from an estate of putters that has been locked up for 15 years. Condition is unused since restoration, 9.5/10, with Circa 62 headcover and Royal grip-correct for its era. 34".
