Offered here is one of those legendary Scotty Cameron putters, the Classic I Art of Putting "Pearly Gates" putter.
Vog says: The Classic I Art of Putting is the epitome of Scotty Cameron's early putters. So much so that David Levine and I chose this putter to be on the cover of our book The Art of Putters, the Scotty Cameron Story. This putter was produced in limited quantities (300 made) and most made their way to Japan. This model was used by various Japanese pros including Shigeki Maruyama. I tried for almost a decade to acquire one before finding the right example. This putter includes a "C" COA from the Cameron studio because it is engraved "Pearly Gates", which is worthy of another story. Pearly Gates is a clothing retailer in Japan, and they apparently acquired a number of new Cameron putters for promotional purposes back in 93/94, and had their company name engraved on the head-apparently not done by Scotty. That's why it gets a "C" - because the engraving wasn't done by Cameron. Yet it's still a very desirable putter and one worthy for any collection.
Putter has been refinished by the Cameron studio and includes the original Brunswick powder coated shaft (looks like a graphite shaft) with a newer Cameron leather grip. Condition: Near mint, 9.5 of 10, unused since the restoration. 35". Includes a purple custom shop headcover.
